The Lobbyists are a holdover from the earliest days of the old Republic and represents the various private interests throughout the Coalition of Western Republics. They represent the various corporations that make up the Coalition’s upper class. They tend to be a reactive faction, siding against any proposition that can increase contract fee rates. Their opponents, especially Internationalists and the Directorate of Information, accuse them of sacrificing the creation of a purer, more stable society in the name of unnecessary profit. Lobbyists, on the other hand, argue that they are the core of the free market which the Coalition was built to defend.
