Württemberg is the second planet in the Platte System, preceded by a boiling gas giant. It is the largest inhabited world and also the most developed of the four habitable worlds in the Platte System. It is home to the German Federal Republic and more than ten billion people. Its climate is as diverse as Earth's, although most of the continents are placed in the southern hemisphere. The cities on Württemberg are well developed metropolises, and are unpolluted to boot. Most of the people on Württemberg are citizens of the GFR, but states such as the Catholic Confederation, Kingdom of Prussia and the Kingdom of France occupy it. It is the center of most of the fighting in the Great Platte War.
